Account Manager: Commercial Accommodation Partnerships

1 x Full Time Role available: 38 hrs/week across 5 days per week
Hybrid working environment:  Work from home (3 days per week) and our East Melbourne VIC office (2 days/week).

While some guests are travelling for medical appointments or specialist care, others have been discharged from hospital and require interim accommodation to support new or lifelong disabilities.

The Role

The role of Account Manager for MediStays Commercial Accommodation Partnerships presents an outstanding opportunity for a values-driven individual who is passionate about making a positive social impact.  

As an Account Manager, you will be immersed in a values driven environment and will play an important role in securing trusted and relevant accommodation for MediStays guests. You will help build and strengthen MediStays portfolio of commercial hotels and apartments by identifying, onboarding and maintaining partnerships aligned with the needs of our community.

Key Accountabilities

Account Management Working within our Supply Team, you will onboard and manage a portfolio of accommodation partners who are highly aligned with the needs of people on a health or disability journey.

  • You will assess the suitability and relevance of accommodation partnerships for MediStays using our priority matrix (including property type, rate structure and location).
  • You will prioritise the acquisition of potential partners based on agreed conditions and timeframes.
  • In accordance with MediStays guidelines and in collaboration with your manager, you will lead the end-to-end acquisition of properties, including contracting, securing rates and verifying facilities.
  • In collaboration with our content publishers, you will facilitate in preparing properties for listing, including sourcing photos, accessibility reports and connecting channel managers.
  • Following listing approval, you will work with our content publishing team to perform test bookings and nurture properties through to ‘go-live’ status.
  • You will continuously foster active partnerships and ensure conditions are optimised to support our community.

  • Your attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work will ensure the highest quality listings and service to our partners and community.

Experience and Qualifications

To achieve excellence in this role, you will bring a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn. Industry experience and qualifications in the accommodation or tourism sectors are helpful, but not obligatory, as we will invest in you and support you to learn your role over time.
